Dr. Thérèse Cullen received her PhD from the Institute of Irish Studies at Queen’s University, Belfast in 2014. She has an MPhil in Reconciliation Studies from the Irish School of Ecumenics, Trinity College, Dublin; and an MA in Theology from Catholic Theological Union, Chicago. Following her doctorate from Queen’s University, Belfast, Thérèse established Irish Monastic Tours. Thérèse is an international speaker, delivering courses in the U.S., Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland to community, academic and religious groups. Thérèse is also a frequent contributor on BBC Radio Ulster.
She has lectured extensively on topics such as:
Early Irish Monasticism, Irish Mythology, Celtic Spirituality, The History of St. Patrick’s Day, St. Patrick, Thomas Merton, Dorothy Day, St. Brigid, St. Columbanus, St. Columba, St. Enda of Aran, St. Ciaran of Clonmacnoise, and St. Kevin of Glendalough, just to name a few.
